Boat ramp & docks description: Excellent facility
completed in the summer of 2010. Ramp consists of
one wide concrete single ramp and one double wide
concrete ramp separated by a loading dock. There is a
boat basin just north of the ramp for tying up and
loading, etc. The dock extends several hundred feet on
the south side with tie ups. Ample parking in gravel
parking lot.

Operating Hours:

What does it cost to launch there? $5.00 yearly
permit to use all of the City of Mexico Beach facilities,
including the pier and jetty. They may be bought at
Cathey's Ace Hardware, Marquardt's Marina, or the
Shell Shack.

Security: None. Public area, no fences or gates.

Parking available:  Large gravel parking lot at ramp,
over 100+ vehicles could fit into it.

Facilities available at ramp:

Bathroom: None

Freshwater washdown: No

Trash receptacles: Yes

Lighting: Yes

Picnic area: No

Picnic tables: No

Grill:  No

Remarks: Excellent facility allowing access to the Gulf
of Mexico. Boats launching from this ramp must pass
under the Hwy 98 bridge, with a clearance of around
12'+/-, depending on tides. If your boat has a higher
clearance, you need to launch it at the   Circle Drive
ramp, located just south of the bridge on the canal.
There is no parking at the Circle Drive ramp, you will
have to park your vehicle and trailer at this City Docks
parking lot and walk across hwy 98 to get on the boat.

Plans call more facilities to be built here, including
bathrooms, picnic area, etc.

A little help please.......

Lot's of boat ramps to
keep an eye on, so if you have an observation or
report that you think will help your fellow fisherman
on a particular boat ramp, please send me an email to:
fishingdestinguide@cox.net
I am particularly looking for information about
launching at the ramp, any hazards or other things
to watch out for.
You will get full credit for the report or any photos.
Help a fellow fisherman out who is not familiar with your
area and that will make it that much easier for you when
you visit a new area.   Thanks . . . . .
