The Gulf State Park pier opened to the public on Thursday, July 23, 2009. At 1520 feet long, the pier is one of the longest pier on the Gulf of Mexico. The pier has indoor seating in a concession area, indoor retail area for tackle and souvenirs, comfort stations at the midpoint of the pier and wheelchair accessible rail fishing.
